- TravlingmanExplorer IILooks like there are quite a few changes to the 2009 models from the 2008's. 2009's have a drop down belly up front for more storage, have an enclosed docking station for hook ups, has glass inlays on back cabinet doors only instead of back and side doors, new hardware on cabinet doors, entertainment center redesigned along with fireplace, new color floor linoleum, new headboard in bedroom, lamp added for dresser in bedroom and new outside graphics. Here is a link to pictures of a new one. I am sure there are more changes, these are the ones I noticed so far.
- whporwilExplorerMy front remote now works also. Not happy about the time it took since this was a brand new camper. Camper picked up on March 4 and the unit stopped working March 7. same unit not a replacement was repaired and returned on June 11. The unit was shipped to Alta twice, the second time they discovered the on-off switch was bad. Am I wrong to think Jayco should have given me a new one back in March? I had talked to both Harry and Randy about this to no avail.
- cdelv66ExplorerIn regards to our landing gear & remote control and the blown 30 amp fuse in the battery compartment, thanks to all of you! After finally getting the right fuse, everything works like a charm again. We really appreciate it!
Next question? Does anyone know how many amps the washer/dryer uses. We are currently at a 30 amp site and one of the a/c uses 20 amps. Just wondering if I could use both w/o tripping the switch.
cdelv66 - CHV_FRKExplorerFirst off your problem is XM. You need to trade that back in for Sirius!
Anyway, I wouldn't think so. Obviously my center is in the slide, but I wouldn't think yours would have a hole. What I do is just route it through the back corner window and coil the wire as I go up the ladder and mounted it to the top of the ladder. - eaherrmannExplorerAnyone know if there's a clear path from the entertainment "cubby" to the roof? I'm installing an XM home kit and I have to find a way to get the antenna to the roof. Thanks
- CHV_FRKExplorerTo explain the ducts a little more. They do connect at the plenum for the rear unit.

On topic, something that was mentioned earlier was the a/c's being ducted. Since we had a 30 amp site we were only able to run one a/c at a time. The rear unit feeds two ducts, One is short and goes to the kitchen area with 2 vents(street side), the other goes all the way to the bedroom and feeds 4 vents(curb side). The a/c was a little noisy for Guitar Hero so we kicked on the front a/c and just closed the bed and bath vents and was able to keep the living area very cool. Another tip is to open the quick cool on the far unit if you are only running one. It helps get a little more cool air to the far end. - BReed0715ExplorerJust to give everyone an update on my A/C duct issue... I posted previously about the lack of air presure through my ducts with both A/C units... After waiting three weeks to get a total separate part for the sofa, I decided to pick it up and look at the A/C myself. With a handy little mirror and flashlight I discovered the Ducts that are lined up on the right side are for the rear unit and the ducts on the left side are the front unit.. No Blockage in the ducts but the Knucklehead that installed the units from the factory wrapped the tin foil tape over the duct openings on both units. I took a utilitly knife cut an opening to reveal the Duct. Imagine that... I realize things happen but that was ridiculous that this wasn't checked.... Everything works great now. So you may want to check yours if you are having airflow issues. Happy Camping.
- DaSuExplorerYes the furnace worked fine the first few times on other occasions. The tanks are full and I have tried a bunch of times to "start , cycle" the furnace. Repairman replaced circut board and furnace now works , but only on passenger side bottle.
- AUWingExplorerDaSu - Has it ever worked? Do you have propane? is the propane on? (Sorry) Could be the lines need to be purged which can be done by allowing the furnace to "try" fire up. Let it cycle a couple times
- DaSuExplorerIssues with our furnace are as follows . Furnace kicks on , burner ignites , burner shuts down , fan continues to run , burner ignites , burns for 7 seconds , burner shuts down . It cycles like this for three times and than furnace shuts down completely.
