I prefer truck stops when traveling cross country. I'll pay a little extra, if it is, for the convenience of not having to deal with people that don't know how to drive, park or not park at the diesel pumps while shopping in the store and then figuring out they parked with their car the wrong direction once they are back.
Use the Flying J. Pull up, give them your CC with the amount, pump, pull forward, go back inside for card.
