Different tire question ( I think)

Just read thru the 4 pages of Tires and DOT and got me thinking about a FB post my buddy put up.

He bought a used TT TH recently, towed it home and sits next to his garage (like the rest of us) and is tinkering with it. Never had a RV before. Offered up some suggestions Burt think his friend is doing the same. Anyways, he just bought 2 tires for it. I don't know the cond of the other 2 or why he bought new ones. I asked him if they were ST's, NOT Chinabombs. He didn't know, just what he could afford. Advised him to go w/ GY or Sailuns and replied to his inquiry about Chinabombs. Another person wrote in saying how he has towed "X" miles w/o a prob w/ the CB tires and was going to get a TPMS before this RV season.

Now I know I'm posting this under the 5er section and he has a TT and we all are pretty set that GY, Sailuns, Michelin, Bridgestone Durvas(?) tires are the go to tires for the weight we have. Now what about brand of tires for TH TT's? IMO, I'd shy away from Maxxis, Carlyle, Towmax, Westlake.......but that's just me. Would appreciate it if others could chime in.

    Not every post, that would keep anyone busy ALL day :B As said I want the best tire available, and that sure as he!! is not Goodyear.

    You forgot 18's. Save all problems and put on LT not ST, designed for weight & speed, same tire as my 1 ton.

    I sure as HE!! wouldn’t keep pushing Communist China products at this time as they are directly responsible for untold lives around the world.

    If you got a 15 inch tires.
    First Choice is getting 16 inch LT if they'll fit in your wheel well.

    Second choice of the top brands (which is only 3 or 4, and this thread names them) Goodyear endurance is for me...not because of price,... try buying some of the other top brands on the road. See how long that takes you stuck behind verns gas station in mayberry usa.

    I had a MAXXIS ST come apart. If you get ST I recommend the higher speed rated tires of GY Endurance and Carlisle Radial Trail HD. For larger loads I recommend LT tires. I also recommend tires rated to cover the full GVWR of the trailer.

    Not really anything different in this tire question.

    I currently have Endurance on my 5ver and boat trailer but have only had them for less than 3 months. Previously on the 5ver I've run U.S. made Marathons and unknown origin Maxxis without any issues but I've had a TPMS since 2012 on the 5ver.

    You would be better served here, if we knew the size of tire ,trailer etc.
