If you have a remote for the rv check the light switch on that. It overrides the indoor switch.

If you got one you will know...it is the remote as stated above...I searched for over an hour on mine even unplugging the switch. REMOTE!!! - MO_Trout_BumExplorerI had the same problem with my 2012 Cougar 327RES. It was the remote, as many have stated above. Turn off the lights with the remote and only turn them back on with the switch.... I felt really stupid when I figured this one out.
- skipncharExplorerNot sure what a "docking light" is on a trailer but I"m betting if you disconnect the battery it will go out.
- 2Shays3712ExplorerOur Cougar 318 SAB docking lights are only operated by the remote. Took a night to figure it out. Embarrassed when I finally did because the lights were on all night. No other campers noticed my folly but we had good light to walk the dog to do her nighttime business!
- bad99ramExplorerMy friend had the same problem on his new Montana. It was the remote.
- RoyBExplorer IImaybe they are being powered by the BACKUP light 12VDC source from the truck on the center pin of the 7-WAY trailer connector... This is something you want to have ON when backing-in ????
The trailer BATTERY DISCONNECT switch should not be installed where it will disable the required 12VDC power going to the trailer BRAKE MAGNETS emergency break-away switch when being pulled.
just a thought
