- TRIPLE8ExplorerThat came out really nice. Did Lippert do all the work or was Eclipse involved as well?
- IndianspringsExplorerVery Cool.
- my996duc1Explorerhere is anothe pic that better shows where the third axle lines up underneath.
- my996duc1ExplorerHere ya go - the only triple axle 28AKL (that I am aware of).
It isn't complete yet as the fender flare cut outs do not exactly match up to the axle placement. The fender flares are different sizes between the double and triple(height and width). So I gotta go out next week and pick up some more metal for the side skirt area to reposition the fender flares. It is sitting on the side yard right now but I will get another full side picture like the original "before" pic soon.
Front axle was left in the same position. The second axle was moved rearward 2" for the conversion.
I also had the Trailair EquaFlex installed. Not sure what made the HUGE different in ride quality (3 axles or Trailair) but it tows alot smoother now.
I couldn't find a matching center cap for the wheels on the added axle.... I know it is minor, but it bugs me. I've looked all over with no luck.
Here are some pics that I can get in the tight area where it is parked right now.

Sorry if this has been covered.
Can this thing be wired to run off the Onan without running the cord from the front to the side plug. Seems like we should be able to have the A/C running while traveling to the camp site.
Not sure how yours is set up. Mine has 30 amp male shore power plug (cord) that plugs into the generator receptacle (female) in the same compartment the shore cord is in. - IndianspringsExplorer

WOW - yeah, that is completely different.
Might have to install yourself a second plug inside the storage box.
Seems odd to have to run the cord out the box and down the side just to get the generator to power the unit.

About half way down the 28AKLG there is a receptacle. I am running the cord out of the box half way to the back of the TH and plugging it in there.
yup, that is different.
I don't have any other places I can plug in the 30amp cord other than the one inside the storage compartment.
Mine is a 2012, so maybe they changed somethings.
Have any pics ??
