- IndianspringsExplorerAbout half way down the 28AKLG there is a receptacle. I am running the cord out of the box half way to the back of the TH and plugging it in there.

Its hard to see in that pic, but mine looks the same. There is only one receptacle in that FWD Box. One end of my power cord is plugged into it. then the cord is just wrapped up in there. Are you saying there is more than one receptacle in yours?
Where does the other end of your cord run too ?
I only have one receptacle/plug in/outlet.
I just plug my cord into the outlet inside the storage box. That is how I get the power from the generator to power the entire toyhauler.
If the cord is not plugged into the outlet inside the box, the generator is not powering anything.
If I want to run off a campground's hook ups then you unplug the cord from inside the box, run it out the little hole in the door, and plug it in to the campground's outlet.
Maybe mine is setup different than yours ?
_ - IndianspringsExplorerYa, thats how mine looks. Maybe I need to pull the plug out of it to make it switch?

Sorry if this has been covered.
Can this thing be wired to run off the Onan without running the cord from the front to the side plug. Seems like we should be able to have the A/C running while traveling to the camp site.
Did they change the setup in 2013 ?
My cord storage compartment has the plug-in inside of it.
I don't have a cord running out of the front.
Here is a pic of how mine is setup :

Hi, is the gererator built in? If so you should not have to plug anything in. The automatic transfer switch will take it from there. Just start up gen. and switch on air.

On mine you have to plug the shore power cord into the generator receptacle. - danojenoExplorer

Not sure how yours is set up. Mine has 30 amp male shore power plug (cord) that plugs into the generator receptacle (female) in the same compartment the shore cord is in. - TRIPLE8Explorer

Hi, thanks I will look for that in the future.I got my CDL years ago so it is a non issue. As far as the hitch goes, a freind of mine fabbed one up and welded it all in place. Im sorry but the trailer is in storage and I do not have any pics of it as yet. I have not added brakes as I am under the toyhaulers rating, no different than putting it inside (stops just the same) but I am at about 62-63ft. short bed truck. LanceTRIPLE8 wrote:
Hi,I was talking about doing this a while ago but didnt know where to start, although I flat tow my samurai behind mine because of the weight, I would like to carry it in the back from time to time. could you pm me and let me know what the cost of adding that 3rd axle. and also are you having it done at lippert in rialto? Thanks, Lance
Once I get it done I will add it all up.
Still got get the fender flares worked out so it will look factory.
I had some other work done also so gotta take that out also.
I had thought about trying to flat tow the samurai behind the toyhauler. I would need to get my commercial CDL and the endorsement for doubles.
Any pics of how you set up the reciever hitch on the toy hauler ?
What brakes system are you running in the samurai when you tow doubles ?
I measured it out to tow doubles with a samurai and it would be right near the max of 65' combined length. Towing doubles would be nice to have as an option.
