does hitch weight of bumper-pull TH reduce when loaded?

Bumper-pull toy haulers have a high hitch weight as compared against standard travel trailers...does the hitch weight 'lighten' when toys are loaded? It would seem that weight at the back of the unit would have to have the effect of reducing the weight at the front of the trailer to some extent

thanks!

  • hadn't realized/considered that, bedlam..it DOES make sense, though...both the rationale behind having the wheels farther back and the effect that has...thanks
  • Typically the hitch weight stays the same whether loaded or not because the toy hauler axles sit farther back on the frame. the hitch weight has to remain high so stability is not compromised when loaded.
