Dometic 300 Series Toilet

My Dometic 300 Series toilet in my 2013 Sabre FW is leaking between the base and the bowl. According to the Dometic website the toilet needs to be replaced. I'm a little reluctant in just replacing with the same brand and model without knowing what caused the leaking to start with. I began to notice the leaking a couple of months ago but thought it might be sweat forming since we were at the beach and hot and humid.

I would appreciate any feedback.
  • I think I'd replace the seals first and/or make sure it is tight. Worse case is you are out the time to replace the seal/tighten/clean. If that doesn't work, replace the whole thing.
  • A while back, there was a recall on that toilet.....leaking under bowl.
  • 300 Series......
The nice thing about these are the ease of replacing bowl seal and water supply assembly

    BUT-----

    Factory-sealed bowl-to-base assembly –
Unlike other Dometic foot-pedal toilets, the bowl and base of 300, 310, and 320 series toilets should not be separated for any reason.

    Time for new toilet.

    Pick your poison.
All have some quirk or other.

  • Think I'll try Flex Seal Tape. It worked on my black water tank crack!

    Yeah...that will seal it up.
Except it will just leak inside the lower base, collect and stink

If not going to call Dometic about a new replacement then replace it yourelf
