OK... lets clarify. These type of posts regarding towing multiple units seem to have misconceptions. First, tow vehicle(truck), trailer(first tow), trailer(second tow)equals DOUBLE TOWING. Add another trailer(third tow) equals TRIPLE TOWING.
I have seen a number of RVs DOUBLE TOWING, never saw one TRIPLE TOWING. I have only been full time since since 1996, so I may have missed one. Some seem to add the tow vehicle as being "towed".

What about the three vehicles being pulled in the first post in THIS THREAD
Like the thread title: "Think he got a ticket?"
Ans - not only a ticket - also a "Park It & Un-hitch - NOW!"
(If it moves it will get several tows - all to the impound yard)

Woodalls is full of baloney (balogna)..:S
*DOUBLE Tow* is a tow vehicle - towing *TWO* trailers.
Other than special permits for extreme loads (size, length, etc.) which only may use the roads at specified times, with lots of escorts.....
The only legal *TRIPLE* Tow is *COMMERCIAL* - and limited to interstate highways in states where it is permitted.
Usually night time only.
Tow whatever you want on private property.
Now if you're in Australia.... a Triple Tow would be small time.
Don't bother with terms like Quad Tow or a Quint Tow - - just "Road Train"!.:W
