I am glad you said it first! With a B&W all you have to do is lOOk to see the 1 1/8" thick silver jaws are closed around the kingpin and you are good to go!
Same with my Reese R16k. Two big jaws wrapped around the kingpin and the handle fully pushed in and down with the safety pin locking it in...I know it is secure and road ready.
The TrailerSaver BD3 has the Holland Binkley head - those locking jaws that once locked fully closed, also lock that pin in place that keeps the jaws from reopening.
