We can run 1 a/c on our 3000 Yamaha. Requires 50 to 30 amp converter, then another 30 amp to twist lock plug for our generator. If generator has 30 RV style plug, you won't need the second one.
We cannot run any other high draw appliance, such as microwave, hair dryer, etc. unless we turn off a/c.
