This F-350 DRW could be ordered with about $3K discount. For $54K, this is a fine vehicle. Yes, it does not pull like a diesel, but for a fifth wheel up to about 16K, it will perform quite well.

Well TFL tested the Ford 7.3 Godzilla in a F250 and other than being very thirsty it did very well. I believe it was towing 16,000#.7.3 Godzilla test

When we were looking used, we knew we wanted Ram, Diesel, Aisin trans, 3.73's and power drivers seat. I am prone to leg cramps if seated in the same position for too long. Power seat allows me to change seat cushion angle. Well had typo be at least a SLT, with power seat option, Big Horn, drivers 6 way, well ended up with a Laramie with drivers 10 way and passenger 6 way seat.
I will say that "Base" trim levels are coming out nicely lately.

Crew cab, 7.3L gas, XLT with power pedals/seat, 5th wheel prep, dualie, with bench seat, no nav.

Almost perfectly what I wanted, only thing I don't like is it's white.

Dually has the payload to handle pin weight. As an example our Dually has a cargo capacity of 5200 pounds. Our 15k gvwr 5th wheel has a pin weight of 3100 pounds. Add our aux fuel tank/tool box, fuel, passengers, dogs, small generator, hitch, wheel chocks and we are close to 5000 pounds of cargo capacity. A SRW would be over the cargo numbers for sure. I see many who do run over their trucks cargo ratings even guys with 3/4 ton trucks towing 3 axle toy haulers. Not here to judge others choices but for us we like the stability and cargo capacity of our dually.
