Because of my DH's heart condition, he long ago quit driving our 40' Phaeton in road construction, mountains and big cities. After his last heart event in 2010, he gave up the wheel. . . only driving about 500 miles since then. He always parks it, says I give better hand signals for backing up. He does drive some short hops mainly to keep up his skills. He's not prohibited from driving, just feels more relaxed in the navigator's chair running the Silverleaf and the Street Atlas.
My dad was a trucker. I've always loved driving and particular big rigs. Works perfectly for us. We full time, starting our 10th year.
Let 'er drive. Driving school is fine, but she will still need to practice afterwards.
You go girl!!! :B

I will say he drives the little motorhome (MinnieMee) more which is good. I prefer driving the big one, he likes driving the little one. We took MinnieMee to Alaska last year and we pretty much shared the driving. Made for a great trip.
