Elkhart Quadra Step

I am thinking about upgrading to the Elkhart Quadra Step and wanted to here from anyone who currently is using them. Are they stable, do you like them and would you recommend them?

Thanks!

OK, I give up. Link states in one place "perforated tread" and in another place "non-perforated tread". Which is it?! :E
  • My AF has 4 steps. Not sure if it's this brand/model because the previous owner installed it. For my trailer, the bottom step is probably a bit too close to the ground. But that's much better than too high IMHO. You just have to be aware of that when coming down the steps with the last one being a bit shorter than the others.
  • We installed the QuadraStep on our toyhauler when the long step up to the bottom step just got to be too annoying. We used a fold-up portable step, but that's a pain to get out and use every time.

They are easy to install and used basically the same bolt holes as the three-step I was removing. They are easy to use, with only one more fold out than the three-step. There is some spring when you step on the bottom step, but it's not an issue to us. It's not the give that would show up on cheap steps, but more just the fact that they are longer so there's more leverage.

I would definitely recommend them. When I first talked about them Peggy kind of pooh-poohed the idea, but now she says that is what should have come on the toyhauler from the beginning. She's very happy with the steps.
This is the next purchase: EZ Open Hand Rail. I'm getting tired of stepping up to unlatch the door and then backing down a step or two to get out of the way of the opening door. And our great-granddaughter should be able to work the latch much easier than she can at the present. Looks nice, but we shall see.
