Enclosed ATV/UTV Trailers

What is the best enclosed trailer for ATVs/UTVs? I prefer/need a 24' box with something like a 5' V-nose for hauling a RZR 4 900 LE and four other ATVs.

I would like to get an enclosed trailer for those day trips or when I just don't want to pull my toyhauler for a quick overnight stay.

What enclosed trailers do you have great experiences with... and why? What do you like about them? What don't you like about them? Thanks!

  • IMHO the best is the one you can buy without breaking the bank. You won't find many discounts on them, and buying a good used one is really hard, mostly because they sell fast if they are priced right. You'll pay more for a light weight unit, beyond that the major manufacturers are all pretty good. Extra features cost more, by a fair amount. We have a 4 place ATV trailer and I looked for a good used one for a couple of years. I really didn't want a snowmobile trailer, but I wanted a v-nose with a man door in the front V without a drive out door. Needed 102" wide, didn't mind about a 4" wheel well as I'd build a matching height ramp for the quads. I guess I was too much of a tight wad because I just never could pull the trigger to spend the kind of money they wanted and my open deck ATV hauler worked just fine.
  • This is very likely going to be a local opinion. What's popular in NC will very likely be unheard of in Utah. Seems enclosed manufacturers are a dime a dozen these days.

You have the big names like Pace and Featherlite. You can't go wrong with them but you'll very likely pay extra for the name. I'd ask around the local ATV dealerships and riding areas. Maybe visits some tracks and ask some folks.

    Good luck. :)

True, but many toy hauler owners have either previously owned or do now own an enclosed ATV trailer. I'm specifically interested in their thoughts or experiences since they match my current situation so well.
  • here in AZ we have a dealer that sells scratch and dent trailers VERY reasonably.Have bought a 6x14,too small,-sold,7.5x18 with wide outside axles with no wheel wells in trailer-outside wheels too far from shackles so axles bent-had sleeved and work ok now,8.5x20-axles only 3500-so weight carrying became problem, and a 8.5x16 open trailer that I double pull with. All trailers come with min rated tires,so get E and over compensate for quality issue. You have to stay on top of brake mtc and bearings or problems will arise at the wrong time.Get one that suits your needs EXACTLY,not too big,not too heavy. Most where Haulmarks ,but all seem to have same dexter axles and brakes.I am looking for an aluminum enclosed but nothing tall enough and wide enough with a single axle.Looks like it will be made for me but ,boy awful pricey.I want it to double pull with the Ranger in it ,my garage is being taken over by my wife's quilting machine.....Happy wife happy life...More traveling on the way,she retires the 24th....YAA HOO.
