End cap sealing with Eternabond tape,

I used 6" over 5 years ago still working great. If you use the 4" I think it may be too small to get good coverage of the seam. I did both front and rear caps.

Im going to do the same and for my application 4 seems plenty maybe too wide..But thats my seam not yours.

I did the 'bond tape application yesterday... used 6"-wide tape over the front and back roof edges and the slide out top outside edge.

Always check with your trailer dealer or manufacture before adding Eternabond.
We had one new guy add it to his roof of his brand new TT. His TT dealer saw it while doing other warranty work and says it voids the roof warranty. A google has more input on the subject.

If you add Eternabond up there make it look OEM for resale down the road and best function. Youtubes has lots to look at on sealing the EB edges for a OEM look and to keep water from getting under a edge.

4" seems to be working ok on front and rear of mine. Two years going on three. But like someone said, all roof seams are different.

I used the 6" wide Eternabond over the seams of my front and rear caps 3 or so years ago and everything is fine. No issues and no messing with re-sealing them in those two areas year after year...

I used 4 on the end caps and 2 on all the square holes (vents, shower, ref). Worked great.

Anyone use Eternabond on the vent and antenna mounts?

Do you need to clean the old sealant off first before you use Etemabond?

Yes. Read the instructions that come with the Eternabond on preparation....Not a big deal, but if you're going to do it, may as well do it right. It's well worth the effort:)
