Equipment checklists?

Just wondering if anyone has a reference or checklist on equipment that they would be willing to share, regardless of RV type. Now that I've made my 5th wheel purchase and getting plans in place for my 1st year full timing, I find myself thinking of all the things that will be required/needed and I'm very sure that there will be things that I miss/don't think of.

Examples are hoses, connectors, cords, cables, jacks, air pumps etc. etc.

I've been trying to compile a list myself reading through these threads and online (Google is my friend :)) but really don't want to miss something that may/will be critical and have to hunt it down on the road.

As a matter of fact, any checklists that anyone has compiled over the years would really help, including procedures, campsites, routes to travel. I would appreciate anything you want to share.

Rather than post it, if you want to email a copy to me, feel free. You'll be on my buddy list for eternity! And in the future I'll pass along the information to any other new RVers that are as daunted as I am now....

In the meantime, I'll keep looking. Thanks so much.

    Best thing to do is move in to it for a month or two, find a campground near by and you will soon have your list!
  • We have used rvchecklist app for years. Easily customizable to add or remove the premade lists.

    Hmm, was looking around for just that thing. Wonder why it didn't come up.

    Thanks!
  • I don't have a list for you, but I can tell you what I do.

    Years ago I added an app to my iPhone called Todo. It's basically a To Do list that lets you add items and check them off.

    I created three categories:

    * To Do
    * To Pack
    * Kids To Do

    Then over the years I've just added items to this list. As I prep for a trip I keep my phone with me and mark items as complete as I go. Then when we get home I unmark all the items as I unpack things. This helps me remember to get my toothbrush out of the trailer and unpack all my tools. Unmarking the items also creates the list for the next trip.

    The "To Do" items are things like getting gas, groceries, cash, firewood, etc. Those are mostly things that I can't do in my driveway; I have to go somewhere to do them. Some exceptions are filling the water tank, checking tire pressure, checking lug nuts, etc.

    The "To Pack" list is things like clothes, tools, boots, headlamp, etc.

    The final list has the items that I can delegate to my kids. I need them to remember to pack their pillows and their own gear.

    The list has grown over the years. And some of the things that I've gotten tired of packing & unpacking for every trip are the things that I've bought duplicates for so we can have a set in the trailer. And some of the things that we use more in the trailer than in the house, we just store them in the trailer now.
