Just wanted to let everyone know that I purchased my New Fifthwheel this past weekend in Florida at Lazy Days.I lefted friday night about 9:30pm and arrive at 5:30am. We stayed until Tuesday and came home. The 5er we purchased was 2014 Keystone High Country Montana 355re, The dry weight was 9760 and total weight will be 12,145. My 2012 f250 handled it great. I feel really comfortable towing this fithwheel around. I tried keeping the total weight of the fifthwheel around 12,000 total so only 145 lbs difference if it ever full loaded. The truck does drop a little in the back so I would like recommendations on installing new springs,timbrens or air bags.What would be better just for leveling it out?

Congrats on the 5 er, they do pull nice and have plenty of room.

If I owned a f250 instead of the 350 I have I would def get bags to level it out.

Congratulations!!..I had airbags on mine.. easy to install.. nice adjustability..sampick up my 5th on the 16th.

Look's like everyone is going with the air bags. I will call my locate Camper place and see if they can install the air bags. Any recommendations on places in GA to have them installed? Thanks for everyones help.

Wow over 37' and only 12145 GVWR, they are really making them much lighter! Must be the High Country line, the straight Montana's are heavier. Congratulations! Chris

I went with Air Lift on my '99 F250 No compressor, not gonna worry about it. Looking at new Ram 3500 for when I upgrade my 5er.

Your numbers are really close to mine... I went with airbags,
no regrets...inflation nipples at license plate... run 40 psi
, 12 psi empty. My squat without the airbags was 2.5-3 inches,
(ie, acceptable)took the advice of forum Professors and went
with airbags...that little bit of front end squirrelyness under
load (made up word syntax police!) disappeared. Rides level. No
porposing, still feel bridge seams...but all tires at recommended
sidwall max PSI. Expect your "loaded" number to grow.

Nice rig ! Good choice.

don't forget to re-claim your bump stops in case you change your
mind. (I had mine installed by local 4x4 shop...after purchasing on-line).

The truck and trailer should sit fairly level. I really doubt you need anything with that load.

+1 on the compressor.. I still have to add mine

Viair kit

gives u air for the bags and tires. (I need 110 psi for tires)

Air bags for the level ride. Any C.W. Most any dealer can install.

If you are only squatting 2" in the rear I would leave it. As a rule 3/4 tons are about 3" different between the front and rear. Nothing wrong with 2" squat.

Congratulations.

I had a set of Timbrens installed last year and changed to Air Lift air bags in June. The difference in my ride when hooked up is much, much better. I got some jerking on the rougher bumps with the Timbrens but not with the Air Lifts. Much smoother. Even my empty ride is a little better.
