I agree it is not the original topic, but when someone posts info that may get them killed or badly injured someone shoul point that out! And that little "fire extinguisher" that came with your RV is not something to rely on in case of a fire, sorry if we stepped on this post, but if it saves someone from a loss due to a fire then, slap our wrists!
In this particular circumstance, the OP was able to put out the fire even though the method used (water) was not ideal. If he had followed some of the advice here(flour, baking soda, Fire extinguisher "A", "B" or "C" ?????) his RV probably would of burn't to the ground while all the fire experts stood around arguing semantics. The fact remains, the OP had a fire, he put it out and then foolishly came here to warn others of a potential fire hazard with a remote control. That's it.
