I think you're a bit off on the estimated pin weight. 23% of the trailer's 10,995 GVWR would be about 2,500 lbs. Even if you don't load that heavily, by the time you fill the propane tanks and throw some things in the basement, you'll likely be close to - or just over - 2,000 lbs. Then you add in passengers, full fuel for the truck, and a fifth wheel hitch... What's most important is to not exceed the rear axle or tire ratings for the truck. I would suggest filling up the truck, you and your family jumping in, and heading for the nearest CAT scales. Add the weight of the hitch you are considering to what you get for a rear axle weight and subtract that from the GVWRR for the truck. Only then will you really know what you're looking at. You also might consider an Andersen Ultimate hitch. That could save you 150 - 200 lbs.
