As Sandyhillbill said, my 06 F350 would not overheat unless pulling my fiver in hot weather up a hill. Without a load you will never know you have an issue. My mechanic replaced mine and said he purchased it through the local Cat dealer, said its better unit than the Ford OEM. He also said it was pain in the a$$ to replace, his first one to do, he primarily works on Chevy/GMC products. Now when pulling load up a hill it sounds like a plane is about to take off under my hood when the fan kicks on, does not stay on long but will make you take notice when it comes on. Good luck. Travel on.
