Faucet Replacement ?

We pick up our new Jayco 5er in a week and my wife hates the cheap looking faucet in the vanity in the bathroom. Am I able to just pick up a replacement at Home Depot or do the 5er's take special RV Faucets and install ??

Thanks
  • Pick up any one that meets your fancy! We changed ours out a long time ago and so did my son. Just make sure you get the proper spacing of the hose tubes. I thinks all bathroom faucets are the same but not sure. We put in a very nice Moen. It was a very easy switch.:)

  • So the connections to the faucet for water are the standard screw on and off ?
  • You may have to buy some connections to make the hoses fit. We are on our fourth faucet in almost twelve years. I don't know if we are just hard on them or if they are just junk.
  • Replaced the bathroom faucet with a regular residential faucet. About a half hour job. Water lines fit perfectly!

I believe there is no difference between most residential faucets and an RV one. Other than quality.

If you go to a RV store they will probably tell you it's a special faucet, that's why it costs so much. Sort of like RV Toilet paper. ;)

We replaced both the vanity and Kitchen faucets, no real issues.
  • I replaced my original bath sink faucet with a Kohler Devonshire K-393-N4-2BZ. It wasn't cheap, but I didn't care. I wanted a good one and this one is and it was a very easy change.

  • They are the same, cheap faucets from the factory can be replaced relatively easy! Get some nice plated brass faucets at Lowes or Home Depot, they are much better than what came with your rig, and will last much longer. They charge way to much for the RV fixtures which are chrome plated plastic!
  • I replaced our kitchen sink faucet with one from Lowes... You will need to buy two of those fittings to adapt the new faucet water lines to your existing PEX RV water lines under the sink...
