I was able to get the edge of the fiberglass panel back under the existing trim piece. This closed the gap which would have let passing air in & under the panel thereby pulling the panel away as speed increased. With the panel at least under the trim I'll duct tapes the seam.
Then I plan to run a strap through the front windows making a large loop. That will allow me to ratchet the whole thing tight. I know that a single bump could loosen the whole thing apart again so it'll be slow going with lots of stops and checking. There just isn't a good way to travel that far at highway speeds.
