Bought my Excel used a year ago at a great price and well maintained as a two owner. Lots of storage space, quality woodworking, enclosed underbelly and more. They are made in a small town in KS where work ethic is as important as going to church. When in Rockport this winter we met a neighbor who traded in his newer than ours Excel for a new 5er. We saw it on the lot and considered looking at it. HE had serious buyers remorse. He also said he priced a new decked out big Excel and was 80,000. I spent 3+ months looking from ND to TX and was only considering Excel, Hitchhiker and Artic Fox. I got lucky and found our 28 ft Legacy here in NE. Paid cash,$6500. Unless you have some deeep pockets I would never buy new. Have met others in our travels this year with lots of issues with new rigs.
