FWIW, on my 2015 RAM 3500 I had to set the truck to EOH (Electric Over Hydraulic Trailer Brakes) on 6 to get the brakes to work reliably, with a drum brake 5th wheel, as suggested by someone on the TDR site. Also has a dealer flash installed TSB 08-82-16 ITBM.
