I appreciate everyone's comments. I understand that a DRW 3500 is the way to go. Unfortunitly I did not know that when I bought my truck and I really did not want a DRW at the time. I just talked to my wife more about it and we just need some kind of perimeters as far as weight so we know what to look for.
Truck weight: I only know of one scale near by. I just went up there and filled up with diesel with everyone loaded (we really dont hual anything in the truck when traveling, just family and dogs). The truck as a whole weighed 8,904. They could not get a reading on the front axle or rear axle alone because they said it was too light. I don't know if that helps.
Yellow sticker: Yes I saw it, I thought it was irrelivant with the after market tires and wheels. But here is what it said: Combined cargo and occupants weight should never exceed 2,309 lbs.
