Which 5ver to buy??
Hi all,
I'm new to the board and have been searching for a new 5th wheel for the wife and I to start traveling in. We have narrowed it down to two units so far, The Northwood Silver Fox 35-5Z and the Keystone Montana Big Sky 3900FB, but are not sure which unit is better.
I want a unit that is durable with high quality since we will be travelling a lot rather than just sitting in one place. So I want something that will take the rigors of high mileage. I want to keep it for many years and don't plan on trading every few years. We will not be full timing in it, but rather traveling around the U.S. for vacations. The only winter use the unit will see is when we travel from the north (PA) to Florida around November/December, but we still want the extra insulation for the hot summers to keep our puppy cool.
My wife likes the Big Sky due to the front bath, furnishings and full body paint. I like the Silver Fox due to the perceived quality of construction over the Big Sky and the ruggedness.
Since we have never owned a 5th wheel, I am asking for your experience on which is the better of the two units for best quality, durability, and lack of inherent problems/warranty issues for our intended use.
Any information that you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
