You probably should check what you can carry in the bed, and then consider what pin weight will be when loaded.
X2 to that , that is why several of GoDucks 5er are on the edge, unless that 2500 has a GVWR better than 10,000, he will be in weight trouble with all excerpt the first one on the list.
Most are just shy of 10,000# Dry, and will be loaded with about 1,000# of stuff to head out putting them at about 11,000# of 5er and 2,000# of pin or better.
I make these statements from experience.
To the OP, what is the GVWR of you 2500, and what is the yellow Payload sticker state as the Max load?
ON Edit: 2005 will not have a Yellow Payload sticker, Need the GVWR and Front and Rear axle ratings from the white VIN sticker.
