You may want to consider what pin weight is going to be also, as opposed to overall trailer weight.
Most 5th wheels with the bed slide have a higher pin weight also, and that isn't always that compatible with 3/4 ton trucks.
You probably should check what you can carry in the bed, and then consider what pin weight will be when loaded.
X2 to that , that is why several of GoDucks 5er are on the edge, unless that 2500 has a GVWR better than 10,000, he will be in weight trouble with all excerpt the first one on the list.
Most are just shy of 10,000# Dry, and will be loaded with about 1,000# of stuff to head out putting them at about 11,000# of 5er and 2,000# of pin or better.
I make these statements from experience.
To the OP, what is the GVWR of you 2500, and what is the yellow Payload sticker state as the Max load?
ON Edit: 2005 will not have a Yellow Payload sticker, Need the GVWR and Front and Rear axle ratings from the white VIN sticker.
My GVWR is 9200 (truck weighs in at 6700)
GAWR front is 4670 and GAWR rear is 6084
