Just because your towing a trailer doesn't necessarily mean your working the truck too hard. He could try to vary the speed a little and just not accelerate hard for the first couple hundred miles.Many new trucks are purchased that don't have the novelty of a break in period.I'm thinking fire truck or any other commercial vehicle.

I would generally agree, just quoting my owners manual, just verified, my 2016 power stroke manual says to drive first 300 miles easy and vary speed (not a direct quote), but the next paragraph states "do not tow for first 1000 miles".
Anyway, get your truck and enjoy the ride.
