Recently upgraded from an F150 to tow our trailer. Grew up a Chevy guy, but like both Chevys & Fords now. When looking for a 1 ton, I ended up driving both a F350 & a 3500. This was just over a year ago when the new Super Dutys had just come out with 900+ torque. The Chevy I drove had the older ~765 Duramax, so not the latest one. There was a huge difference in performance. I didn't tow anything, but just driving a few miles in each, it was night and day. The Chevys have upgraded their engines since then, so maybe it's better now. It felt like a slug at the time.
The other thing the Ford offered was the 360 camera, backup camera for the trailer, double-sized sunroof, massaging seats, etc. It made the choice easy for me.
Though I will say that I have had 2 issues with the Ford in the year I've owned it. Fuel pump, and my fuel filter housing sprung a leak. Not super happy about those issues, but our other vehicle is a GM, and though the engine has been solid, we've had issues with shocks, brakes, proximity sensors, and multiple recalls. So each has been a bit frustrating.
Overall though, still really love the Ford.
