OP,
Of the brands being discussed two are American sourced brands and one is now a foreign brand.
BTW... My 6.7 Power Stroke has 140k miles and not a single issue with the engine as some here would like you to think. The engine/transmission is a very reliable drivetrain that's second to none. Maintenance work is very well thought out and changing the oil is a breeze and actually very enjoyable unlike that other brand that having to access a oil filter is ridiculous.
Perhaps the ongoing safety recalls on one brand is a sign of poor engineering and build quality.
Good luck with getting that Chevy delivered asap.
Could you possibly be referring to the SEVEN RECALLS on my 2014 Ram Cummins :( Two of them yet to be done. Its been averaging just over 6 months per visit for recalls, it gets tiresome.
Truck has been fairly reliable, two emission problems, lucky to be within the 150 miles of a dealer before limp mode to 5 mph, with fifth wheel in tow. Kind of inconvenient to have to stay somewhere, unhook fifth wheel ,to get into a dealer.
Curious to how many recalls have you gotten with the Ford.
Cummins2014,
Hope you get your updates done as I'm sure it's not fun. My truck has required 1 emissions recall to date. I took it to the Ford dealer and had the PCM reflashed during my lunch brake. Not a fun experience either.
