Is your friend from down under? Chris - robdnormExplorerIn 2005 they did not offer the factory fifth wheel set up like you see on new models. I have a 2011 and I think that only started in 2012. The key to look for if you plan to tow is making sure you have the factory over load spring installed if you plan to pull anything real heavy.
- nomad297ExplorerSorry about the big picture. Is there a way I can make it smaller?
Bruce - tnclaysExplorerAs butchfuzion said, you will have the 5 plastic covers in the bed; you can also look under the bed to see the under bed rails. If you have this set up, you need to order the Ford custom fifth wheel hitch from your dealer. I am liking mine so far, as it is easy to remove the hitch (in two pieces) from the bed when I need to haul stuff.

- MFLNomad IINo, you don't have the factory ford hitch prep kit. It does sound like you have the factory tow package, which is good.
You may have an after market, under bed hitch set up, but you should be able to tell by looking.
Jerry - fprestoExplorerIf it has the built in Tow Command you should have the prep package for towing with the seven pin connector in the bumper. As far as I know there is no specific 5th wheel package but I could be wrong. You can call Ford with your Vin# and they can tell you exactly.
- BlueJeanExplorerNo covers.
I have 4 bolts in the bed where a hitch might bolt up, but nothing in the middle.
Hmm. - lawrosaExplorerMake sure you got the right rear is most important...IMO
