Thor is screwing with KZ changing names etc. My dealer was told if he wanted the Durango Gold there was now minimum stocking requirements. And Jayco is changing things at Open Range as well. Personally if Thor does not change the factory operation I would easily stay with KZ over any Forest River. Friends have had nightmare experiences trying to get warranty work on their FR products.
Every time I see a post claiming a "friend" had trouble with Forest River/Cedar Creek's customer service I wonder if there talking about the same company, I personally have had several dealings with CC's customer service and have had above excellent service, the clear coat on mine was flaking off and they re-finished the whole fiver free of charge and on our time-table, on a six year-old fiver! As far as a "friend" goes one of mine bought a new Cedar Creek fiver last summer as he liked ours and the few minor gremlin's he had were taken care of immediately and that's just one creeker that I know of! As my 07' CC Daydreamer was built to such a high standard I really can't see replacing her in the near future, we get compliments on her all the time from people walking by, on the way down last fall a bunch of biker's passed us on I-75 and was giving us the thumbs up, but when I have to do it will be another Cedar Creek!

x 2, Is it the dealer pulling BS vs the manufacturer... - pyoung47ExplorerI think a lot of the reason for duplicate models is to allow nearby dealers to sell Forest River products, but different brands. Kind of like GMC/Chevy or the current run of Presidential hopefuls.

I would think it really depends on the person as both the Cedar Creek & Cardinal are nice units, the Triolgy is no longer made and I even think some would want to add the Columbus to the mix in the Forest River line up.
Just at the Dynamax site and I still see Trilogy?
Yes they are still on the web site but are no longer in production at this time but I would hope they do come back as we really like the Trilogy. Getting a higher end unit is getting harder now with so many builders shut down leaving only a few to pick from. - rmalik1Explorer

Download the Back To Basics brochure and look at page 5.
Cedar Creek
The fiberglass is thicker and does not use luan sheets for rigidity. It is NOT laminated.
16 on center walls - outside the gel coat is fasten w/ super strong adhesive and batt insulation is used between studs, on inside the wall board is applied. Built more like sticks and bricks house. Will not delam, inside wall board can be remove for easier repair of sections instead of full wall like laminated walls, outlets can and are placed in normal places within walls because of this type of construction. - rmalik1Explorer

My Columbus is nice and is Palomino's top of the line, but I wouldn't compare it to the Cedar Creeks that I have been in. - Me_AgainExplorer IIIThose that go to the FROG rally get all kinds of things fix free by FR way past warranty. Just saying. Chris
