If you have the time head west out of Houston on I-10 through San Antonio to Kerrville. Then goes south about 20 miles to Hill Country Resort and Event Center. My favorite place in the heart of the Texas Hill Country. Large live oak covered rv sites at great prices. That area is mostly about country, wildlife and views. If looking for more things to do, go north from Kerrville to Fredericksburg. Very visitor friendly, great wineries. All of that area is a really beautiful part of Texas. Enjoy your trip.
