Here in Montana, PERMANENT registration can be purchased for ANY vehicle 11 years old or older, ANY trailer, ANY motorcycle (including street legal ATVs), and ALL boats (on a boat, you have to go to a Game and Fish office every couple of years to get a free sticker. They say it is due to Coast Guard regulations.)
For the truck I just bought, the cost was $284, including 10K GVW.
