free rv parking near bristol virginia?

Any suggestions for overnite parking , 5th wheel close to I-81 near bristol virginia.. going thru there in Nov.
  • Sorry Travlingman, I was talking about 7 and DH and I were talking about Cabela's going in at exit 5 and that's why I put that on there. We were at BPS yesterday, so we definitely know where it is. Again, sorry, but I do recommend Sugar Hollow.

A new Bass Pro Shop has just opened at exit 5 and they have a huge park lot. You might want to give them a call and check to see if you could overnight there.

The airport is just south of Bristol at exit 69 in TN. (74 is the last one before crossing into Va). You would probably have to pay to park, but it is available.

Bass Pro Shops is located at exit 74B on I-81, not at exit 5. Exit 5 is in Virginia and Bass Pro is in Tenn.

The airport is located at exit 63 on I-81 as exit 69 is the Blountville exit.

I also 2nd Lakeview as it is a good park. You would take exit 69 for it.
  • Lakeview RV park, Bluff City, TN. West side of Bristol. Not free, but very good for Passport America members. Voted best campground several years, easy to get to off I-81, east to get a rig into and out of. Mostly pull-thrus, so east to just pull in, and easy out the nest day. Clean, and safe. Have stayed there several times for overnights. Recommend highly! Especially at PassPoft America prices!
  • At exit 7, there is a super Walmart and a Sam's Club right beside of it. It is within earshot of I-81. There is also a campground just off of exit 7, Sugar Hollow Park that is a locality owned park. It is $15/night with electric or $12 for no hookups. It is about a mile off the highway, just down the road from Walmart.

There is also a Cracker Barrel at the same exit on the other side of I-81. A new Bass Pro Shop has just opened at exit 5 and they have a huge park lot. You might want to give them a call and check to see if you could overnight there.

There is one just off of I 81 At Exit 7,Old airport RD. that has overnight parking.

According to RV Parky 13245 Lee Hwy Bristol Va.

Google Earth is also handy to look at where you are going.

I find these apps are great for finding things like that. Give it a try.
