There should be panels that can be unscrewed to reach the connection and hand tighten it.
I agree, and on my Montana I left the panel undone, it stays in place,and I can get behind it without having to mess around. The water pump on mine is also behind that panel
I too had the same leak, and tightened up all the fittings behind the panel, no more issues.
