Front Cap only cover

I'm going to be purchasing a 5er soon and where I store on the side of my house both sides of my current trailer are fairly well shaded however the front cap takes a pretty good beating from the afternoon sun. I'm not interested in a full cover, but just something to cover the front cap area to keep the sun off in the summer months. Does anything like this exist?
  • Mine sits in a farm shed with a dirt f;oor from time to time. DW went to thrift stores, St. Vinny's, etc. and bought about 7 king sized bed sheets. We took them to a woman who does alterations, repairs, amd reupholstery, and had them sewn together, side to side for a cover that extends the lenght of the fiver and down the front cap. Its just a dust cover for us but maybe you could use some thing similar. The whole cost was less than $40.00.
  • bump back to the top - anyone else?

I too just ordered a 5th wheel and same thing.. sits on the side of the house and the front faces the sun. done want a whole cover...just for the cap.

Find an upholstery shop or someone who makes covers for boats. They should be able to make a cover.
  • What ever you do don't put the floor wax (Pro Max or Zep) on it. Mine sits in the sun. Right now I'm removing all the old wax, cleaning to remove all stains, wet sanding with 1500 grit, polishing compound and then I'll put Mequire's sealant on. A lot of work but when I'm done it'll be slicker than slick Willy.
