my 2006 montana fifth wheel front landing jacks will raise my fifth wheel so far then just makes a racheting noise. I drop it a little then raise it again get to the same point and does the same thing...

tell us the make. RBW jacks are known to fail in the thrust bearings, leading to an overload at a # weight lift point. Mine did.
