I agree with everything else in this post, but it is absolutely crucial, as a new diesel owner/driver, that you realize that THERE IS NO COLOR STANDARD FOR PUMP HANDLES OR SIGNAGE.
x10000000, I almost ruined my truck, my vacation and possibly my marriage back in June :). Last leg of our return trip back to HOU, I was filling up in Lubbock, Tx. Saw an island of pumps that had the typical black nozzles (gas) and a green. Sure enough, I rolled up ran my card and stuck the green nozzle in the filler hole. I don't remember what made me snap but I realized it was certainly not diesel! I believe it was ethanol? 10 year diesel owner at that!
