I bet you are probably right, but I was looking at the GVWR sticker on the door jamb and noticed a yellow sticker under it that was labeled "Tire and Loading Information". It stated that the combined weight of the passengers and cargo should not exceed 1976 pounds. Are you familiar with that?
Sorry. I meant to tag the previous post but can't figure out how.
The yellow sticker on the door jamb is exactly what I was referring to when I meant that the truck was de-rated. That sticker means nothing as the numbers on it are fabricated by Ford. If your truck has the camper package, it is 100% identical to a SRW 350. If not, you can add the upper overload spring or a set of airbags which do the same thing and make it 100% identical. Your GVWR is probably listed as 10k. It is actually 11.5k. Your rear axle rating is listed at 6100. It is actually 7k. I've personally looked up all the part numbers between the two and found them to be the same. Since the truck is physically the same, it's the same despite what the sticker says. The little yellow sticker is just to keep the rating down to put the truck in a lower weight class to fill that segment of the market.
