I agree with NC hauler. I am die hard spec person however many of the newer truck have higher ratings.. If the truck is within spec's you are good 3/4 ton or not. You just need to understand how to figure the real Carry capacity of your truck. Look at the stated GVWR of the truck and the carry capacity. Weigh the truck ready to tow/ Example if the stated GVWR is 11K and the truck ready to tow is 8K then your real Carry capacity is 3K.The only thing you will now put in the truck is the pin weight of the 5th wheel which would have to be under 3K to be in specs.3/4 ton.In spec..you are good.
