Nothing wrong with portables. Once upon a time I had a nice portable set up.
But now I'm all about push button convenience

I have Yamaha 2600? The Blue mushroom.. Will run my Jayco 321TSRL as long as I only use ONE AC. Fridge, lights water heater etc are fine. I do not however run the microwave while the AC is on. If you want run the whole load with two AC's then you will need two Honda 2000i's in parallel. The Yamaha works fine for me in the odd occasion that I am dry camping. It is very quite as well.

Just keep in mind that Honda Canada won't honour a Honda USA warranty so in the unlikely event you may need warranty assistance you'd have to return the genset back across the border for a US dealer to take a look at it.

Here's the US Honda EU2000i Wiring Diagram and here's the Canadian Honda EU2000i Wiring Diagram ... compare the two and I'm sure anyone with a modicum of electronics knowledge will see the difference and figure out how a pair of Cdn versions can easily be paralleled. To be clear I'm not necessarily recommending this, just saying it's not as difficult as you may think. ;)

Agreed. I was thinking the exact same thing quite honestly but instead of playing with the generator and potential oopsies that may result, I think I'll take a driver South for a couple of hours and just buy the U.S. model. Even with exchange it's the same cost.

IF we ever decide we need two gens then we are ready to just plug the second one in.

I guess for some reason you're saying "dcb" to mean decibel, the unit of measurement used when determining genset noise level. However, no reputable generator manufacturer offers a single noise rating when the industry standard is taken @ 23' (7 metres) with the engine running at it's lowest ECO speed and also at full tilt under full load. The fact this Powerhorse generator is advertised with just one rating should be a tip off ... second is the name "Powerhorse" which is a ripoff of the very similar but much better quality, though very noisy, Powerhouse brand of generators. FWIW the Honda EU2000i is rated 53 db to 59 db using the industry standard measurement techniques. For anyone who believes this Powerhorse generator is anywhere near as capable, or as quiet, as the Honda EU2000i then I have some swamp land in Florida I can sell you at a great price. Trust me, it's a great deal! :W

I was leaning towards the dual Honda 2000i's with the parallel cable but found out when going to buy the first one that not available in Canada. Can't buy the Honda2000i with the port for the cable kit. I can buy the Honda 2000i but not with the plug to make parallel.

Apparently, our Canadian rules don't like the dual gennies.

I agree..My Honda 2k is quite noisy with a load compared to my Honda 3k running the air conditioner.The Honda 3K will spoil you for sound, infact according to a comparison, the Honda 3k is quieter than any other gen set tested other than the Yamaha 1k.

My Honda 3k runs the air conditioner for 7+ hours..
