- Bill_n_Ann_M_ExplorerJust changed to 5er from TT's this year. Only one trip so far, planning on another in the near future. The Ram has the puck system, currently using a Reese setup: puck adapter, slider and hitch. Like the ability to remove it from the bed in three pieces and store those in the RV when we go out and about.

Thanks to all who replied. Good information.
You're most welcome; let us know how it is when you get it!
I just noticed the yellow lab in your signature, great name! We lost our 13 year old yellow lab "Daisy" 2 1/2 years ago and still miss her terribly.....:(
"Sunny" we name our dogs by something to do with the weather on the day when I have to bury the one before them. That is always a very sad day for us. Sunny, Stormy, Charlie (Hurricane Charlie past over). - Super_DaveExplorerIs it easier to back a hard 90 with a 5er than a bumper pull?
- packnratExplorerbut welcome to having a 5er.got a big tow truck?
got a credit card with lots of room?
get loaded up and have fun.
but as others have said watch your overhead.
rear swing.
as to backing up... go slow turn the top of your wheel toward the side you see the coach in the mirror to keep going straight.
get out and look for backing up. no mater what you are backing up or into.
but just get out and enjoy.

5ers travel on the inside of a turn unlike a pull behind that follows the tow vehicle.
any and all trailers "cheat" on the corners. lenght matters here. - DogTrainerExplorerTows better, better floor plans, lighter than TT on vehicle.
Enjoy and make sure you have enough truck to get what you want. - blofgrenExplorer

Look up. Be aware of what's around you as well as what's up wherever you drive. Manually measure the height of your FW, write or type it on a piece of paper and tape it to the inside upper left of your front windshield. You may know the height today, but can easily forget it when you need it the most.
Swing - be aware of the swing of the end of your FW when turning. You'll avoid a lot of damage this way.
Great advice. Also be forewarned that fivers react much slower while backing than TT’s so you will likely find it more difficult to back it in until you get used to that. You will be pleasantly surprised how much better it tows, though.:) - LwiddisExplorer IIKeep watching, grizz.
