I'd love the Mor/ryde IS and agree that it's likely a better fix, but it's way out of my price range AND I'm not positive how long I'm keeping this camper. As we are fulltiming, I've come to hate the living room layout.
The JoyRider shocks are $540 total for parts (2 shock kits for 3" axles) and I'm going to guess $300-400 install (I am having a handful of things done, so it'll be mixed in with those). So, far cheaper than the IS.
Ouch, I went with the Lippert at $120 per axle, and still able to do install myself. Joy rider is a lot more hardware to be sure that the shock is installed at an angle more upright than 45 degrees, I made sure of this during my install.
I knew that there were cheaper options out there. I seem to try and avoid things with the Lippert name (which I know is next to impossible). The Joy Rider marketing sold me. It was $250 per axle and $40 for shipping the pair. I'm not handy at all and am fulltiming, so it was a bit more than I wanted to tackle. If I was at my father-in-law's house, we definitely could install them with his and his brother's know-how.
But, such is life...
