Getting JoyRider installed next week

I drop the camper off on Monday to get the JoyRider Suspension kit (aka shocks) and new Torklift Glowstep Revolution steps installed on the camper. I've heard nothing but good about campers with shocks, so I'm really hopeful that this helps smooth things out back there. The steps will be really nice, I've been at 2 places back to back now where the campground broke a cardinal sin where the door side is the low side. This means that I have to raise it up and then jump off of my bottom step to the ground.

And then, of course, a honey do list of little fixes and maintenance things.

They'll have it from Tuesday-Friday. I hope they're able to accomplish everything.

I don't know what is being spent on this upgrade, I am sure it's not cheap. I would highly advise anyone thinking about upgrading their suspension look into the MorRyde IS with disk brakes.

did you notice a difference in towing with shocks?

    In my opinion absolutely! :)
We have a rear kitchen, once before the shocks hit a road buckle on Hy 101 just south of Seaside, I had already put Bil's on the TV, nothing on the 5er yet, I swear the 5er tires left the ground. Cleared the door shelves three with beer and soda snapped by the bounce.

After the install the 5er rides much better, we came out OR 6 to the coast this weekend and hit an section of slide damage rough road, but both TV and 5er rode out the roughest in control the bounce well contained by the shocks.

Stop and think, would you drive your car or TV without shocks?
  • I have the Joy Rider's on a 2012 29' Montana. The ride was so rough, it launched the turn table out of the micro wave. I have the shocks, an upgraded equaflex and a Moryde pin box. Rides better now.

Yes, shocks on the trailer make for a much better ride and tow experience. Put the lipper kits on our 5er, another great investment.
