- TucsonJimExplorer IIIt would be easier to answer your question if we knew what size tires your rig had. I just switched to Goodyear G614 LR G tires. LT235/85R16. They are very pricey, but one of the best tires out there. And they are made in the USA. Right now, there is a $20 rebate per tire.
Jim - JIMNLINExplorer IIIThe Sailun S637 is another commercial grade all steel ply carcass ST235/85-16 4080 lbs capacity tire along with the Hercules H-901 in a LT235/85-16 3750 lb capacity. Both are a load G tire.
The Sailun is a all position tire that was marked as a LT but redesignated as a ST tire.
Both work great on 7k axles. - nevadan660ExplorerNot an expert, but if you want G rated you might want to consider LT tires, there is a LT tire discussion topic as we speak with excellent information. As you know, i am currently using Maxxis Load E M8008, 2nd time using Maxxis with good results, if Maxxis fails like all of the other China Bombs (In my experience) will switch to LT tires (Safety First). Maxxis is not affiliated with GOODYEAR MARATHON (Made in Thailand) I weighed both tires Maxxis and GY Marathon (Maxxis weighed 8lbs. more each)
- nevadan660ExplorerHad a blow out, Goodyear Marathons on my Travel trailer, almost hit a Semi, I checked tire pressure prior and keep tires covered up during non transport, i am very safety unconscious for air pressure and weight ratings, i will NEVER buy Goodyear ST tires - period.
- 1ofmanyExplorerWe traded out the Marathon tires on our Montana with the G614 a couple years ago and have been happy with the switch. You should make sure your wheels will support the extra tire pressure: 110psi vs 80psi.
- wantabe351ExplorerFor my Montana after 2 blow outs I went with Hercules "Power STR" For the tire has a load rating of F/14ply which is 3960@95psi, But most important which most dont know about ST Tires is a speed rating of 65mph- Most tow at that speed or greater....But the Power STR has a L rating, which is 75mph ..So far the tire has worked out well and a air pressure of 95psi is not a big deal for Montana Rim has a Max of 110psi....Bought them on Amazon at a great price Too..

LT - WTP-GCExplorerI would start by reading any one of the 673,690 threads on here about tires that have been posted in the last 2 weeks.
- Carlos___RanaeExplorerAfter two tire threat separation, I replaced all six tires with the Sailun S637 last year. Very happy so far.
- 2-MTnestersExplorerI had the Sailun S637's installed on my Montana last August and couldn't be happier. They are 14 ply "G" rated and I run them at 108psi. They are quite a bit less expensive than the GY G614's and in my opinion equal in quality. Tim
