Francesca and MM49 ,
Can either of you disprove the fact that ST tires weigh less than LT tires from the same manufacturer , same size , and same load range ?
Can you tell us what and how many companies or manufacturer builds an ST and a LT tire in the same size and same load range and how about including the same load rating while you are at it???
Has you or anyone ever checked the testing and rating procedures for the European type tires and how they differ from the US???
I never heard of anyone doing that…
it’s pretty bad when the Chinese consumers are the ones complaining about quality, when they have a culture that has always defined quality as cheap… but they did in this case…
"Kumho used more recycled rubber than its internal standards, which may cause car accidents with tire rupturing.
Even though Lee Han-seop, the head of Kumho's China subsidiary, publicly apologized to Chinese consumers on a CCTV program Monday, many consumers still have deep distrust in Kumho, with some urging the prosecution to take legal action against all those involved in the tire-manufacturing process. “:B
the Kumho 857 has become popular with the Casita crowd but they report problems with them to including tread separation and blow outs…
Its hard to find European Commercial branded tires that are recommended for trailer use, or even mention trailers in all of their literature…
Information taken directly from the Continental tire website and catalog about the commercial Vanco tire line says… their words…
1 - “The growing demand for short-distance transport of passengers and goods
also leads to increased requirements so that the performance of modern day
((vans)) nears that of passenger car.”
2 - “The concept of the VancoTM Camper is to use long well-proven Vanco
technique, optimize its performance for distinguished ((motorcaravan))
requirements and thus ((cater to the needs of this specific target use)).”
3 - “The Continental Vanco Camper tyres are part of Continental’s Vanco tyre
range that comprises ((tyres exclusively for vans)).”
It sure seems they only talk about using them for VANS…
