depends on the wheel rating. Some manufacturers put 110 psi rated wheels with 80 psi rubber valve stems when used with a 80 psi rated tire.
My trailer came with E rated tires on rims rated for 110 psi and rubber valve stems rated for 80 also.. When I first made the swap , all i did was replace the valve stem with a metal one..
